Born and raised in Milwaukee Wisconsin, I discovered my passion for cooking at a very young age. I honed my craft at The International Culinary Institute at The Art Institute, immersing myself in the art of culinary excellence. My style spans a broad spectrum-from Southern, Creole, and Cajun influences to Asian and Italian flavors. I love combining scratch homemade dishes with a unique blend of Midwest and Southern flair, infusing each meal with comfort and innovation. My signature creations include a hearty Mac and Cheese that nods to my Wisconsin roots and a chef's kiss Shrimp and Grits that highlights my Southern influences.
Now calling North Carolina home for the past 15 years, I am equally passionate about preparing healthy and balance meal options that nourish the body and delight the senses. I put my passion and pride into every creation, driving our business to unimaginable heights in the culinary world.
I started grilling at a young age, and quickly fell in love with the simplicity and skill it takes to master it. I believe anyone can grill; the key difference lies in the time spent, the mistakes made, the adjustments, and the experimentation that ultimately elevate someone to the level of a true PITMASTER.
It’s just the individual, the equipment, the grill, and the food! When done right, it becomes a masterpiece. There’s nothing more rewarding than bringing that experience to life with each cook.
My love for cooking, like many, began when I was a little girl, watching my mom and grandmother work their magic in the kitchen. I loved mimicking their moves, and soon enough, I picked up their techniques and developed my own knack for blending flavors and creating dishes that people couldn't get enough of. Whether it was perfecting my grandmother’s secret sauce or getting creative with new recipes, I was always experimenting and finding new ways to make every meal special. For me its not just about the food; it is about bringing people together through the flavors and memories that made every meal unforgettable.
I was inspired by the Wilsons’ passion for cooking, entertaining, and celebrating others through food. Though I was initially unfamiliar with the art of grilling, I quickly fell in love with it. I became captivated by the process of transforming food into flavorful creations on a grill. This inspiration drove me to experiment with various grills, rubs and cooking techniques. Over time, grilling evolved from a simple hobby into a true passion and creative outlet. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing someone smile after eating a meal I’ve prepared, it’s an incredible feeling that never loses its magic.
